Madison, Wisconsin has an ultimate frisbee culture that is unmatched around the world. The isthmus is home to the largest ultimate Frisbee league in the world. MUFA’s summer league registers nearly 5,000 people on nearly 200 teams each year. The city also lays claim to the Madison Radicals of the American Disc League and multiple competetive club teams in the open, women’s and mixed division. The UW- Madison men’s team (The Hodags) are three time national champions. The UW-Women’s team (Bella Donna) is a perennial powerhouse in the Midwest.

Murphy is a member of the UW-Madison women’s team, Bella Donna and Heist, Madison’s premier women’s club team. She is a grad student at the UW-Madison. This is her first foray into radio.
